Speech Pathology Clinic in Rose Bay
Some children learn best when their bodies are moving. Our clinic has a sensory swing, an indoor slide and a loft to climb.
Movement helps many children regulate, focus and engage
We use movement as part of the session, not just as a break
Climbing, swinging and sliding create natural chances to practise all types of words like “up”, “go”, “again” and “my turn”
Your speech pathologist reads your child’s cues and adjusts the pace to suit them

Bright therapy rooms designed for play
Every therapy room at Kids Spot has natural light. Children feel calmer and more settled in a naturally-lit, welcoming space, so they’re ready to play and learn. Our rooms are set up for play-based therapy, with space to move, sit, build and explore.
A sensory swing, slide and loft for children who need to move
Toys and resources chosen around your child
Our clinic has its own kitchen, and cooking may be part of your child’s sessions. Cooking is a fun, real-life way to build communication. It brings together:
Vocabulary: naming foods, tools and actions (stir, pour, crack, mix)
Following instructions: reading and following a simple recipe
Sequencing: first, next, then, last
Social communication: taking turns, asking for help, sharing
Literacy: reading recipes and writing shopping lists
We always check allergies and dietary needs before any cooking activity.
Play-based, neurodiversity-affirming therapy
We have shelves full of age-specific toys, games, books and therapy resources, from first words through to the teenage years.
We follow your child’s lead. Dinosaurs, trains, superheroes, art or sport: we bring their interests into every session.
The right toy for the right stage. Resources are matched to your child’s age, development and goals.
Tailored to their needs. Sensory preferences, attention and communication style all guide what we choose.
When children are interested, they play for longer. More play means more chances to learn.
At Kids Spot, we nurture joyful interactions.
Play-based and child-led. Therapy follows your child’s interests.
Neurodiversity-affirming. We respect every child’s way of communicating and build on strengths.
Family-centred. You’re welcome in sessions and leave with ideas to use at home.
Connected care. With your permission, we work with teachers, GPs, paediatricians and other therapists.
