Supervision & Mentoring for Paediatric Speech Pathologists
Online, Australia-wide. For speech pathologists working with children who want a steadier, more confident practice.
Who this is for
Early-career paediatric speech pathology is a strange gap. You are trusted with real children and real families from week one. But the person who can help you is either three doors down and busy, or not there at all.
The tricky cases pile up faster than your confidence to handle them. You second-guess goals. You over-prepare reports. You wonder if everyone else got a manual you missed.
They did not. The gap is real, it is systemic and it is not a reflection of you.
What closes the gap is regular access to someone who has sat where you are sitting, will tell you the truth, and will stay in your corner while you grow.
That is what I do.
How I work
After 24 years working with children and families, 13 of those running a paediatric practice, I have supervised a lot of clinicians through this exact stretch. Four values guide how I show up.
Clear is kind. Vague feedback is not helpful it slows progress and keeps you guessing. I will be specific about what is working and what is not, so you always know where you stand. I will ask the questions and pave the path to help you find your way.
Connection before outcomes. We build a working relationship first. You cannot reflect honestly with someone you are performing for, and honest reflection is the whole point.
Support changes everything. Most clinicians do not need to be smarter. They need to stop carrying it alone.
Hard truths, said with love. I will name the thing you are avoiding. I will also make it safe to hear because you’ll always know that you have the support in place to make the shifts required.
